I collaborate with your firm to craft directives and company policy for defining loss, bereavement leave, corporate offers for 1:1 and group grief coaching for employees/families who have incurred a loss. Compassionate leadership affects employee retention and staff who feel seen, heard and respected in the workplace.

Barri is called on by clinicians for grief CEU programming, talks at healthcare facilities, leading-edge corporations, hospitals, eldercare and memory care facilities, social and religious groups and community libraries who wish to become more grief informed or offer grief supportive programming. Grief often asks for expression, yet many people don’t know where to begin. Here we will allow writing to offer a gentle way in. A place to explore memory, emotion, and meaning at your own pace.

This six-session workshop series with Sara x Barri is designed as a small, supportive circle where grief and creativity are both welcomed and shared. Each gathering includes guided prompts, time for writing, thoughtful conversation, and insights into how expressive writing supports emotional processing and healing.

You do not need to be a writer to participate. The focus is not on critique or craft, but on expression, reflection, and connection with others who understand life after loss.

If you are navigating grief, curious about writing as a way to explore it, or simply looking for an intimate space to share and listen with others, this workshop was created with you in mind.

Participation is limited to 20 people to keep the circle personal and supportive.

Creative Grief Tending

Moving Grief Through the Body

With Barri Leiner Grant and Kelsey Moro

Together, we soften into the body, give language to what’s been held inside, and create space for release and renewal.

Grief lives in the body—and sometimes words only arrive after we've paused to feel where it aches, pulses, or softens. In this gathering, you are guided through gentle movement, breathing techniques, meditation, and reflective writing prompts to help you access both embodied awareness and creative expression.

Together, we ground in the body, write from the heart, and tend to what is asking to be witnessed. This is not about fixing grief, but about befriending it—allowing space for release, reflection, and renewal.

This is for grievers who are at least six months from their most significant loss and who are looking to process their grief through a creatively expressive lens.
